Welcome to the BitterSweet World of Chocolate!

The Frederick Sister Cities Association is pleased to announce and to invite you to its Seventh Annual Chocolate Gala, a benefit event to be held on Monday, February 4th, 2008, at the Lynfield Events Complex, in Frederick, MD.

The Chocolate Gala is an event to taste chocolate in its various forms while listening to wonderful musical performances and watching a master piece being carved in chocolate before the viewers eyes, by the experts from the FCC Culinary Institute! Chefs from our region will compete with the finest chocolate creations. Special products will be available for a benefit silent auction. This will be a wonderful event to celebrate life and peace and will highlight the sisterhood between Frederick, Morzheim and Schifferstadt in Germany and Aquiraz in Brazil.

In 2008 we will launch into a new program in which young people from Frederick will compete to become Youth Ambassadors for Peace. The two winners of this competition will be rewarded with free tickets to visit our sister cities as a citizen diplomats!

The Frederick Sister Cities Association will be honored with you support, be it by your presence and participation in the Event’s Planning Committee, as a volunteer, as a major sponsor, or for smaller ad sales/cash or in-kind contributions. Remember, the event will provide fun for all ages while promoting peace and understanding among people. Your support is deeply appreciated!
